Hello, I’m Breanna Daugherty.
Currently, I’m an intern at Intersection, an advertising agency in Muncie. At Intersection, my primary task is creating visuals, but I will occasionally do other jobs outside of photography.
I recently graduated with Master’s of Arts in Media Analytics and Management program through the Department of Journalism at Ball State. I was also a graduate assistant for two professors where I worked on research and content for the department.
In May of 2017, I graduated from Ball State with a Bachelor's of Arts from the College of Communication, Information, and Media, where I majored in photojournalism.
I was named the 2016 Indiana College Photographer of the Year by the Indiana News Photographers Association.
Previously, I was the editor-in-chief, multimedia editor, and assistant multimedia editor of the Ball State Daily News. The Ball State Daily News is the student-run newspaper.
During the summer of 2016, I was the photo intern at the Fort Wayne News-Sentinel. The internship was through the Hoosier State Press Association Eugene S. Pulliam Internship Program.
After a few years of no activity, I was elected by my peers to be the president of the NPPA Ball State Student Chapter. I started the revitalization of the chapter and helped organize the first rendition of Shoot for Good - Muncie.
When Indiana started to celebrate it's 200th year of statehood, I was selected to be part of a team covering Indiana's Bicentennial Torch Relay for six weeks. I traveled to 19 counties and documented the various forms of transportation for the torch.
Capturing the story and emotion in all of my photos is what I strive to do when I'm making photos. Sports photography has become a passion of mine because I find it the most challenging.
